Our Privacy Promise:

Velora is engineered with an on-device privacy-first architecture. All facial, biometric, and color analysis is performed 100% locally on your iPhone using Apple Vision framework and Apple Silicon neural processing. Your selfies, camera frames, and face data are never uploaded to remote servers, never shared with third parties, and never used to train external models.

1. Face Data Privacy Disclosure (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(i))

Velora incorporates facial analysis features to determine seasonal color palettes and provide personal styling recommendations. In strict compliance with Apple App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(i) and Sections 3.3.3(C) and 3.3.3(K) of the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, this section provides comprehensive details regarding our collection, use, disclosure, sharing, retention, and deletion of face data:

A. Collection and Intended Uses of Face Data

What Face Data Is Collected: When you capture a selfie or select a photo from your photo library for color analysis or digital garment draping, Velora uses Apple’s native Vision framework (VNDetectFaceLandmarksRequest and VNDetectFaceRectanglesRequest) to detect facial bounding boxes and landmarks. The app analyzes specific facial features, including:

Facial landmark coordinates (identifying regions for cheeks, forehead, jawline, lips, and eyes).
Optical color values (measuring skin undertone, eye color depth, and hair contrast in CIE L*a*b* and sRGB color spaces).
Pose and framing angles (yaw, roll, pitch) to ensure optimal lighting and capture quality.

Velora does not collect biometric templates for identity recognition or authentication. Face data is never used to identify who you are.

Intended Uses and Disclosures: Face data is accessed and used strictly for the following purposes:

Seasonal Color Palette Classification: Determining your 12-season personal color profile (such as Warm Autumn, Cool Summer, Bright Spring, or Deep Winter) based on your skin undertone, value contrast, and chroma.
Garment Draping Alignment: Positioning digital garment drape overlays accurately below your face for interactive visual color testing.
Styling Guidance: Generating tailored recommendations for wardrobe palettes, contrast levels, and beauty styling.

Local On-Device Processing: All facial analysis is computed 100% locally on your iOS device using Apple Silicon hardware acceleration. Raw camera streams and facial landmark coordinates are processed solely in volatile local memory and are never transmitted to external cloud servers, remote databases, or third-party computing systems.

No Disclosures: We do not disclose, sell, rent, monetize, or publish face data under any circumstances.

B. Face Data Sharing Policy

No Sharing with Third Parties: Velora does NOT share, sell, transfer, or disclose face data or facial imagery with any third parties, third-party SDKs, advertisers, analytics providers, or external partners.
Equal Protection Guarantee: If Velora ever shares face data with any third party in the future, Velora confirms and warrants that any third party with whom face data is shared will provide the same or equal protection of face data as stated in this Privacy Policy, in compliance with Apple Guideline 5.1.1(i).

C. Face Data Retention Policy

Transient In-Memory Retention Only: Face data and facial landmark coordinates are held strictly in volatile, transient random-access memory (RAM) solely for the few seconds required to execute the color analysis algorithm.
Immediate Discard: As soon as the on-device analysis completes and the seasonal palette classification is generated, all raw face data, facial landmark points, and temporary image buffers are immediately and permanently erased from memory.
Zero Persistent Storage of Face Data: Velora does not store raw selfies, facial landmark coordinate maps, or biometric vectors on persistent storage (such as device disk storage, keychain, or iCloud backups). Only the resulting local derived color profile, such as color season, palette, aggregate color measurements, quality/confidence values, and limited geometry ratios needed to reopen your result, is saved in local device storage alongside user-selected wardrobe favorites.

D. Face Data Deletion and Consent Revocation Policies

How Users Can Revoke Consent: Consent for face data access is requested when you first grant Camera permission or select a photo. You can revoke consent at any time through your iOS device settings:
1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Scroll down and tap Velora.
3. Toggle the Camera permission switch to OFF.
Revoking camera permission instantly stops the app from accessing your camera or capturing face data. You may also decline or cancel any photo selection at any time.
How Users Can Delete Their Face Data: Because raw face data, facial landmarks, and camera frames are processed in transient memory and immediately purged upon completion of the analysis, no raw face data persists to be deleted.

To delete all derived styling results, saved color profiles, and wardrobe items saved on your device:
1. Open the Velora app.
2. Tap the Settings icon (gear icon in the top corner).
3. Scroll down to the Data & Privacy section.
4. Tap "Delete All Data" and confirm your choice.
This immediately and permanently erases all locally saved color profiles, palette cards, and preferences from your device. Alternatively, deleting or uninstalling the Velora app from your device permanently purges all associated local data.

2. Device Permissions and Usage

Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): Used exclusively to capture an image or view live frames for seasonal color analysis and garment fabric checking. Camera frames are processed locally and are never streamed to any external service.
Photo Library Additions (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription): Used strictly when you explicitly tap "Save Palette Card to Photos". Velora does not read or browse your personal photo library without your direct action.

3. Purchases and Payment Processing

In-app purchases and subscriptions (Weekly and Yearly plans) are securely handled directly by Apple StoreKit. We integrate RevenueCat to validate subscription entitlements anonymously without capturing or storing your payment card numbers, billing addresses, or Apple ID credentials.

4. Data Storage and In-App Data Deletion (Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v))

Your styling preferences (such as saved seasonal palettes and capsule wardrobe pieces) are stored exclusively on your device via iOS local storage. In strict accordance with Apple Guideline 5.1.1(v), Velora includes an instant local data purge feature:

Go to Settings -> "Delete All Data" within the app to permanently erase all saved color profiles, wardrobe items, and preferences instantly from your device.

5. Analytics and Third-Party Trackers

Velora contains zero third-party advertising SDKs, zero location tracking, and zero behavioral tracking. We do not track you across apps and websites (no IDFA tracking).
